David Denning Citizen of the Year
Our sincere congratulations to David Denning on being Awarded Citizen of the Year at our Australia Day Ceremony.

Council received nine nominations for the citizen of the year – the biggest response in years. David won the award. His achievements are as a former President of the Rotary Club of Taree, member of the Friends of the Gallery, Board Member of Manning Valley Anglican College, Warden at the St Johns Anglican Church in Taree, a past President of the Old Bar Men’s Shed and an active member of the Taree Arts Council.
Well done David.
Marylyn Sendah Young Citizen of the Year
Former Youth Ambassador for the Rotary Club of Taree, Marylyn Sendah was named Young Citizen of the Year.

This is a very much deserved Award and we wish Marylyn all the best for a bright and wonderful future.

Honorary Rotarian of the Rotary Club of Taree, Harvey Else was another recipient of an Australia Day Award.

A lifetime of triumphs, expeditions and service to his community has come to a head for aviation industry icon and Cundletown’s favourite son Harvey Else.

For his outstanding service to the aviation industry and the Taree community, Mr Else was awarded an Order of Australia Medal (OAM) on Australia Day.
Another worthy recipient of an Australia Day Award is Erica Baigent, the daughter of Rotarian Neil Hanington and his wife, Lola, who received a Community Service Award at
Wellington. Well done Erica.
