Members as you may be aware, former Rotary member Harvey Else has released his book on an amazing flying career. Alan Small went to the release of Harvey’s book on Saturday 23 February at Club Taree.
Members might be interested to know that Harvey spent many years as a member of our club. Understandably, he is very proud of his career and his book. Harvey taught Alan to fly as a young man and sent him solo at 7 hours.
Rotary Club member Max Carey was at the launch, he to having learned to fly with Harvey.
At the launch Harvey summarised his lifetime of stories and experiences of aviation.
He officially launched his book 'Helicopter Pilot- on the edge' at Club Taree in front of family, friends and guests.
Harvey acknowledged former trainee pilots through the Manning River Aero Club,
Harvey explained how his experiences throughout his career drove him to put pen to paper.
Harvey gave a brief outline of the book, including his trips around Australia and overseas. 
Member for Lyne Dr David Gillespie attended the launch, referring to Harvey as the 'James Bond of Cundletown'.
David reflected on Harvey's impact on the domestic and international aviation industries.
"When you look at what Harvey has done, whilst he has been in control of a fixed-wing or the helicopters, you know he's a man of great ability,"
David said.
