President David welcomed members and Guests to the meeting.
He extended a warm welcome to our guest Speaker for the night PDG Maurie Stack.
He advised that today he, Kevin Sharp and Bruce Moy painted the demountable at Manning Valley Anglican College. It is hoped that this will be completed tomorrow.
David advised that next Monday night we have a visit by the DG Bob Ryan and his wife Margaret. DG Bob will hold a meeting with our Board prior to our normal Club Meeting. At this meeting the Board will put forward their thoughts, ideas and strategies for the year ahead.
Our meeting of the 24 July 201 7 will be our Club Assembly. All members will be advised of the Committee that they have been placed on prior to the Assembly. Bring along and thoughts or ideas you may have.
Club Secretary Wayne Robards then put in member apologies for the evening.
He also reminded everyone of the International President’s Dinner to be held on 31 July 2017 at Panthers Auditorium at Port Macquarie, commencing at 5.45pm for 6.30pm. Cost will be $47.50 per person. This will be a transfer meeting. Could members please advise by Friday 26 July 2017 if they wish to attend. Members are encouraged to attend.
Kevin Sharp showed us the Golf Perpetual Trophy which we will hear more about at our Assembly on 24 July 2017.
Phil Streatfield advised that he wil be involved in GSE. Anyone wanting to make application must be between the ages of 25 – 40 and not to be a Rotarian or spouse of a Rotarian. GSE trip will be to Uganda and Tanzania. If you know anyone who may be interested and wishes to make application please let Phil know.
Phil also advised that with respect to the Centurion Program it is now time to renew if you don’t have an automatic payment scheme set up.
Mark Drury advised to date that Club Administration doing well. Bulletin out and the gong is now cleaned and shining brightly.
He is also involved in the GSE this year and they will be conducting a roadshow, promoting this program. Mark will give a presentation on this at a later date.
Herb Beer - acting Sergeant at Arms – undertook these duties in Warren Blanch’s absence. Well done Herb.
