Director Phil Streatfeild asked Dr Grace Maano to introduce Fr Jason Nyiri from Meru in Kenya. Fr Jason outlined the program of purchasing Holstein Friesian Cows and Galla Goats to provide milk for Children and adults to improve their health and lives. This is a Rotary World Community Service (RAWCS) project, all Donations welcome. There followed an Auction of two paintings from Meru in Kenya, capably handled by Bruce Moy that raised $650 for the appeal.
Rod Lattimore moved a vote of thanks to Fr Jason and presented him with a certificate of appreciation. It was an enjoyable and sociable evening, maybe this format could be used more often, not forgetting the Sergeant at Arms.
