President David gave a toast generally to the Rotary Club of Taree and all its members for being an outstanding Club and one it is a privilege to be associated with.

David also gave a big welcome to our guests for the evening, the new Rector at St Johns Church, Rev Peter Tinney and his wife, Fiona.
President David also welcomed Club Member, Rod Lattimore who has been away for a little while due to surgery. He advised that the working bee held to replace a roof on one of the shelters/tables has now been completed with the shelter now sporting a ne corrugated iron roof. The last of the shingled roofs has now gone. Please note that our Club Christmas Party is being held on the 11 December 2017. This should be an excellent night with the Circus Mule Band (Tanya Brown’s band) playing on the night. With respect to the Bunnings BBQ being held on 18 December 2017 please note that further volunteers are required. Could please advise Susie (or via Clubrunner) if you can assist. David also advised that we were given a Certificate of Appreciation from the Old Bar Festival Committee for the help we provided with parking at the recent Old Bar Festival. Ian Woollard – Attended the Pets training held recently and spoke on the various issues raised. Phil Streatfield – spoke on the Million Dollar Dinner which was recently held and advised that a member who could not attend on the night, Neill Hanington is now a Bequest Member of the Foundation. Phil made a presentation to Neil at our meeting. Congratulations Neil.
Kevin Sharp spoke of the arrangements being made for the Golf Day being held on the Australia Day Weekend in January 2018 and advised that the Golf Committee is now at the stage where they need to commence canvassing businesses.
Joy brought us up to date with where organisation of the ACMF Cocktail Party is up to. Joy encouraged members to attend next Thursday night 7 December 2017 at the MEC. Tickets are $45 per head and available from herself or online via the MEC. A big apology for last week’s bulletin from the Bulletin Editor. It was a shocker. Wrong dates, incorrect spelling and more. Will have to put it down to an off week. Will try for much better this week. Neil Hanington spoke on the CCTV and what is currently happening. He advised that NationWide Security will be here next week to carry out checks. He will advise of the outcome at a later date.
