Rotary made a "Vocational Visit" to Manning River Steel and Manning Profiling in Grey Gum Road.
President Ross introduced the owner of Manning Steel and Manning Profiling Greg Dickson as well as the Manager Todd Watkin and Russel Sherman, Profiler.
Greg explained the many activities at Manning Profiling including Laser cutting of designs in stainless Steel. Greg Dickson and Todd Watkins demonstrated some of the machines. Greg Dickson moved to Taree 20 years ago from the Central Coast when he opened Manning River Steel. He opened Manning Profiling a year ago.
Greg Dickson provided a demonstration of cutting a series of numbers 1 to 9 about 20 cm in height on computer programmed laser cutting machine. There were a number of other machines designed for various applications such as bending to specific angle and rolling sheet steel.
President Ross presented Greg Dickson with a Certificate of Appreciation. Members enjoyed the demonstrations and explanations of the equipment. A well worthwhile vocational visit appreciated by owner Greg.
