Phil Streatfeild advised that exchange student Anika was moving family at the end of the month, and that they were currently restricted to home due to COVID19.
President Ross then inducted Matt Anlezark into the Rotary Club of Taree. He and partner Paula had seen an opportunity and decided to move to Taree. Matt spoke of his family's history of Rotarian commitment. He works as a Strategic Business Consultant. We look forward to hearing more of his story at a later date. He was welcomed with acclamation.
Sgt at Arms Bruce conducted a fines session – The following people were named and charged. Dr Col about his speech last week.; David Fisher for his brush with fame – Harry Belafonte & Bill and Sonia McMahon. Bruce Moy finished the session reciting Laurence Binyon’s poem “For the Fallen” which includes the Ode of Remembrance. “They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them.” LEST WE FORGET.
Dr Grace's Project:
Dr Grace has proposed a funding project to send contributions to her Medical colleague in Quezon Hospital of LUZON the Philippines. She will have the support of a committee of Philip Streatfeild and Susie Ploder, who will help her in the project. The hope is to supply Materials to assist with COVID19.
