This week we had a Vocational Visit to Service NSW. Manager Greg and his team made us feel very welcome to what was an interesting and informative evening. Once everyone had arrived we were invited to register for a My Service NSW Account so that we will be able to easily access NSW Government transactions online.
The My Service NSW Account is part of an ongoing commitment to making NSW Government services faster, more secure and easier to access through a single point of contact. They also support regional communities with services they have never had access to before. With more than 850 state government transactions in one place this makes dealing with the government easier.
Services provided include:
 Renew or transfer your vehicle registration
 Renew or replace your driver’s licence
 Check, query and pay your fines
 Apply for a NSW Seniors Card
 Book a licence test
 Renew your Contractor Licence
 Order an Opal Card
 Apply for a NSW marriage or birth certificate
 Lodge a bond claim (landlords or managing agents)
 Report a scam or cybercrime
These days, on entering the building you are met by a customer service representative who will direct you to the area which suits your needs. You are immediately assured of friendly, personal service, good communication, teamwork and accountability which are the values used to ensure a positive, efficient and enjoyable experience for all customers.
Their vision is to be recognised as a distinctive leader in the provision of government services by putting their customers at the heart of everything and innovate to deliver.

Wayne Robards gave the Vote of Thanks on behalf our Club. Our sincere thanks and appreciation to Greg, Jono and the wonderful team at Service NSW Taree for their patience, help and assistance on Monday night. It was a great opportunity for us to learn how the concept of Service NSW came about and of all the services it now provides.

We then followed with a BBQ, very nicely cooked by Warren Blanch. A big thank you to Mark, Warren and the team for organising this visit and the BBQ. Well done.
