Acting Sergeant at Arms Ian Woollard commenced the meeting by welcoming our guests and leading the invocation and toasts.
President Murray welcomed Rotarians and guests and gave apologies for those who could not be with us. Murray acknowledged the hard work of several Rotarians who, with much effort, installed recycled seating at Manning Valley Anglican College.
David Denning advised that Neil Hanington will be our speaking about the proposed changes for Midcoast Water at our next meeting. He also advised that there is a working bee at Kokoda Hospital departing 4 july 17 for 3 weeks. The cost is $1700 incl airfares and meals. David needs to know who is interested within the next 2 weeks.
Neil Hanington called for more volunteers for Australia Day breakfast and Manning Entertainment Centre and these positions were filled.
Director Kevin Sharp gave an update on the Golf Day. He reminded us of the “Hole in One” roster for the first hole - see last week’s bulletin, if you cannot be present for your allocated time please arrange a replacement.
Director Elizabeth Kempers reminded us the visit to Coocumbuc Island on Monday February 6 courtesy of S E S. We are meeting at 5:30pm at the Rowing Club with a BBQ to follow. See the club website to register your attendance.
Director Phil Streatfeild reminded us to purchase our RAWCS supporter stickers. He also reminded us of the dinner for Gemma Sisia (there is an invitation in this bulletin). Please give your $40 directly to Phil. We will be transferring our meeting for that week to this event. Phil gave an update on plans for the upcoming GSE visit including a transfer of our meeting to the Tuesday night, a visit to Valley Industries and Rod Lattimore’s dairy farm.
Director Susie Ploder called for volunteers to sell Raffle tickets at the Golf Day.

Induction of New Rotarian:
Mario Tomlin Mario has been involved in the Automotive Industry for 35 years. He owned and operated a number of dealerships in Hunter Valley and purchased Mid Coast Automotive Group in partnership in 2015. He is married to Sonia and has 3 daughters. Mario was inducted into membership of the Rotary Club of Taree by President Murray Difford who is also Mario’s sponsor. Mario was welcomed by his fellow Rotarians.
